From 11 to 14 November, Lisbon hosted the Web Summit, the largest international conference in the field of technology, which gathered about 80 thousand participants from around the world.
The event featured cutting-edge developments, startups and companies working with artificial intelligence, educational technologies and digital platforms.
One of the participants of the summit was Natalia Serpionova, co-founder of the online school “Punkt B”. She shared the key trends that she believes will shape the coming years.
1. Artificial intelligence is everywhere
AI has ceased to be a futuristic concept and has become a part of everyday life. Today, artificial intelligence algorithms:
- Analyze user preferences and shape content
- Recommended products and services based on data
- Optimize workflows and increase business efficiency
According to Natalia, the faster people learn to use AI to simplify tasks and save time, the easier it will be for them to adapt to new conditions. n
2. Rapid development of educational technologies (EdTech)
Education is becoming a driver for startups. New projects offer solutions for teachers, students and students:
Platforms for exam preparation
- Tools to improve learning effectiveness
- Solutions for schools and universities that do not always keep up with global changes
Natalia noted that EdTech is now at the peak of development, which is confirmed by the growing number of innovative start-ups in this area.
3. Support for women founders
Special attention was paid to women’s entrepreneurship in technology.
- Subsidized and free tickets were provided for women founders of startups
- There was a special Women in Tech zone where participants could present their projects and find new partners.
Companies and foundations increasingly support women seeking to grow their tech businesses
According to Natalia, this trend demonstrates the importance of equal opportunities and inspires women to start their own projects.
Web Summit 2024 showed that technology is not standing still, and three trends – artificial intelligence, educational technologies and women’s entrepreneurship – will be key areas of development in the coming years.
