Today we want to share one interesting case from our franchisee Ekaterina Stolyarova
She was approached by a woman of 40 years, who has been working for more than 10 years in a senior position in a large company. It would seem that everything is stable and successful, but she thought about where to go next and how to develop in the next 3-10 years.
Career guidance is not just for those looking for a new profession from scratch. Even experienced leaders sometimes need to rethink their values, priorities, and goals.
Ekaterina, together with her client, worked out her interests, needs, talked about how to cope with emotional burnout. This is a good example of how career guidance can help you look at your career from a new angle, even if you already have a lot of experience.
The work continued, and Katya was able to better understand what prevented her client from feeling satisfied with her work. After her diagnosis, it became clear that her current position and work format no longer matched her personal values and career goals. Together with Catherine, they came to the conclusion that it was time to change something.
“She realized that the current place of work does not meet her internal needs, and we began to think about how, based on her experience, it is possible not only to change the company, but also to reach a new level in her career,” she said.
One of the key decisions was to expand her professional horizons through a new education. They discussed the possibility of taking an MBA program and other educational courses that will help strengthen its position in the market. An important part of the conversation was also networking – the search for new connections that could help her further development.
“We talked a lot about how useful connections could open up new opportunities for her. This is an important part of success, especially for people with such experience.
In addition, the client began to think about changing the field of activity. Together with Ekaterina, they considered options for moving into marketing or sales, given her strengths and skills. However, to be confident in these new directions, they concluded that more training would be needed.
“She saw that she had all the resources she needed to successfully enter a new field, but it was important to be well prepared and trained to feel confident.”
Special attention was paid to the issue of creativity. For the client, this became an important element in maintaining emotional balance. Ekaterina helped her realize how creativity can be not only a way to relax, but also a source of inspiration in her work.
“We realized that creativity for her is not just a hobby, but an important way to switch, avoid burnout and maintain harmony between work and personal life,” she said.
As a result, the client received a clear understanding of his strengths and possible directions of development. It is ready to move forward, both within its current sphere and in new areas that are consistent with its values and goals.
Now she has a clear plan of action in her hands, and she is confidently looking to the future!
